Terms of sale
Last updated: November 1, 2026
1. Who sells what
- The printed book (paperback or hardcover) is sold, charged for, made and shipped by Peecho B.V. (Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce no. 34366667). Your contract to buy this book is with Peecho, under Peecho’s own terms of sale, in English, which you accept on its payment page.
- The personalization, the book file, the free digital book (PDF) and the options (audiobook, hero created from a photo) are provided by Mohamed EL Mallahi, individual, Tafersit, Driouch, Nador, Morocco. Options are paid for at Peecho, together with the printed book, in a single payment.
- The digital book alone, with one of our heroes, is resold and charged for by Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ, Estonia, registry code 16977866, Rotermanni 14, 10111 Tallinn), the merchant of record, which issues the invoice and handles applicable taxes. Its price is shown before tax on LuBooks: Creem adds your country’s taxes and shows the exact amount before you pay. LuBooks creates the book and delivers it to you.
- The digital book with a hero created from a photo or with the audiobook is sold by Mohamed EL Mallahi, individual, Tafersit, Driouch, Nador, Morocco, and is paid for through PayPal (PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., Luxembourg).
You can reach the site operator at +212 624 719 009, at bonjour@lubooks.com, and through the Contact us page.
2. Products
LuBooks offers personalized illustrated books, in French or English, in print (paperback or hardcover) or in digital format (PDF). Each printed book includes, at no extra charge, its digital version (PDF), made available on the order page as soon as the print files are approved. The characteristics of each book (recommended age, number of pages, format, personalizable elements) are described on its page. The illustrations are created with the help of artificial intelligence from original characters, then checked.
3. Prices
Prices are shown in euros. The price shown on LuBooks applies to delivery in France, not including shipping: it includes French VAT on books (5.5%). At Peecho, which is the seller and applies the VAT, this price is taken before VAT. Peecho adds shipping, then the VAT of the delivery country on both the book and the shipping. The book’s price may therefore differ slightly from one country to another. The amount to pay is the one Peecho’s payment page shows before you pay.
4. Ordering
On LuBooks: the personalization, the summary, your email address and your acceptance of these terms. On Peecho’s page: the delivery address, the number of copies, your acceptance of Peecho’s terms and payment. The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the information entered, in particular the spelling of the first name. A confirmation email summarizes the order.
5. Payment
Payment for the printed book and its options is due when the order is placed, on Peecho’s payment page. Production begins only after Peecho has confirmed payment.
The digital book alone, with one of our heroes, is paid to Creem. Production starts only after this provider confirms the payment.
The digital book with an option is paid for through PayPal (PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., Luxembourg). Production starts only after this provider confirms the payment.
6. Production and delivery
Once payment is confirmed, the book file is prepared, checked and sent to Peecho, which makes the book individually and ships it under its terms (see Delivery). With a hero created from a photo, the illustrations are created and checked first. The free digital book and, where applicable, the audiobook are made available on the order page, and the link to that page is sent to you by email.
7. Right of withdrawal
In accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized (3°), which is the case for printed books, or for digital content supplied without a tangible medium where performance has begun with the consumer’s prior express consent and the consumer has acknowledged losing the right of withdrawal (13°), which may be the case for the digital book and the audiobook. This consent is obtained when the order is placed and confirmed by email.
8. Legal guarantees
Printed books are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity (Articles L217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) and the guarantee against hidden defects (Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code). Digital content is covered by the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content (Articles L224-25-12 et seq. of the French Consumer Code). For a printed book bought from Peecho, these claims fall to Peecho, which is its seller; Peecho’s terms also set time limits for reporting a problem. We pass claims on to Peecho and follow them up with you. See Returns and refunds.
9. Intellectual property and use
The texts, illustrations and layouts remain the property of Mohamed EL Mallahi. The book you buy is intended for personal and family use; its public distribution or resale is prohibited.
10. Personal data
See the privacy policy.
11. Complaints and mediation
Any complaint can be sent through the Contact us page. We respond to every complaint and work with you to find an amicable solution.
12. Governing law
The contract for the purchase of the printed book concluded with Peecho is governed by Dutch law, and Peecho’s terms designate the courts of Amsterdam. Everything else is governed by the law of the country where the site operator is established (Morocco). Consumers keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence, and may bring proceedings before the competent courts under the rules that apply to them, including those of their domicile.
